Storm Alice is continuing to cause some delays to flights at Palma Airport and the other Balearic airports on Sunday.
The airports authority hasn't specified an average length of delay, air traffic controllers saying there are likely to be issues due to storm conditions at least until the early afternoon. It has been necessary to regulate mainland airspace in the east of the country and in the Balearics.
On Sunday morning, air traffic control received various requests to divert flights in order to avoid the core of the storm affecting the western approach to Ibiza Airport.
The met agency has upgraded alerts for rain in the south of Mallorca and in the Tramuntana from yellow to amber; these are active until 6pm Sunday. The rest of the island is on yellow alert until the same time. By noon on Sunday, the heaviest rainfall was again in Ibiza - 68.6 litres per square metre in Sant Joan de Labritja and 49.6 at the airport. In Mallorca the heaviest was 27.4 in Pollença.
