Palma Airport has once again been at the centre of an incident, producing another striking image during what are still very busy days at the airfield. On this occasion, however, it was an accident which, beyond causing material damage, has left eye-catching images of part of Terminal C being flooded. Numerous airlines operate out of Terminal C including easyJet.

On Thursday morning, a buggy collided with a fire hydrant. The impact caused a spectacular gush of water, with large volumes spilling and flooding the building’s surface.

Airport staff, employees from the various shops in the area, and even the on-site firefighters acted immediately to try to stop the flow, remove the accumulated water, and restore normality to the terminal, which is heavily frequented at that time.

According to Aena, the incident was resolved shortly after eleven in the morning and did not affect operations at Palma Airport or the continuation of the various activities related to scheduled flights during that part of the day.

Nevertheless, numerous passengers and tourists in the area did not hesitate to capture the scene and share it on social media or WhatsApp groups.
