If 2025 has shown us anything, it’s that Magalluf know how to keep the party going—both on the beach and off. From sun-soaked music festivals and buzzing nightlife in Magalluf to cultural and gastronomic events, this corner of Mallorca has been packed with unforgettable moments all year long. Let’s take a look at what the year of events looks like on this side of the island...
The crown jewel of Magalluf’s events has to be the Mallorca Live Festival, where three days in June transform Calvia into a music lover’s paradise. Featuring a wide mix of international headliners, Spanish artists, and local talent, the festival offers something for every music fan, from large-scale performances to more intimate sets. Previous top international acts include Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, Muse, The Kooks, Blondie, Iggy Pop and The Pet Shop Boys. In 2026, the festival will take place from 11 to 14 June.
Following the MLF, the summer spotlight shifts to Es Jardi, the island’s boutique open-air music series set in the Mallorca Live Festival grounds. Designed as a Mediterranean garden escape filled with flowers, nature, and starlit nights, Es Jardi combines live music, DJ sets, gastronomy, and family-friendly activities, making it a cultural meeting point for all ages. From the Welcome Stage’s local talent to headline concerts, the atmosphere is vibrant and stylish, with spaces to relax, dance, or even host private events. This year’s edition brought unforgettable highlights, including a nostalgic, high-energy performance by British boyband Blue, alongside themed nights such as The Summer of Rock, Soul Divas, and the debut SoulTown Festival, where legends like Shalamar took the stage. More than just concerts, Es Jardí has cemented itself as a must-experience summer tradition in Calvia, offering music, culture, and flavours that capture the very spirit of Mallorca.
Food lovers have plenty to look forward to with La Mostra Calvià, a gastronomic event held every April and October to showcase the area’s culinary excellence. Local restaurants serve their best dishes at special, more affordable prices, giving visitors the chance to discover new flavours and warm Mallorcan hospitality. The 2025 autumn edition will take place across four weekends—17–19 October, 24–26 October, 31 October–2 November, and 7–9 November—with Magalluf favourites such as Madame Cabra, Oceans Restaurant, El Balcón, Bondi Beach, Smasdouble, Casa Diego, and Restaurante Casa García’s taking part. To ensure everyone can join in, many restaurants also offer children’s menus, gluten-free or vegan options, and even take-away.
Sport also takes centre stage, with Majorca Beach Rugby set to return for its 17th edition in 2026. This thrilling tournament attracts teams from across Europe and even the US, and now includes both men’s and women’s veterans’ competitions, making it an event for all ages. Played on the golden sands of Magalluf beach, this sport is a fast, high-energy version of rugby where possession can change in an instant, keeping players and spectators on their toes. The smaller pitches, shorter matches, and simplified rules make it an accessible yet fiercely competitive sport, while the community spirit and camaraderie shared among teams ensures that Majorca Beach Rugby is as much about connection and fun as it is about competition.
Another sporting highlight is the Half Marathon Magaluf, one of the Balearics’ top races, taking place on 18 April 2026. With both a half marathon and 10 km option, the mostly flat routes wind through Palmanova and Magalluf’s promenades before finishing on the state-of-the-art athletics track. Runners enjoy superb organisation and extras such as pacers, personalised bibs, T-shirts, a pasta party, local delicacies, and even massages—all for an average entry fee of just €20. Add in the vibrant atmosphere with live music, drummers, DJs, and traditional “demons,” and it’s clear why this certified race is a favourite with both locals and international visitors.
Magalluf rings out the year with the Hidrobal Sant Silvestre Calvianera, a lively 6.7 km race on 31 December at 5pm between Magalluf and Palmanova, finishing with a triumphant entry onto the athletics track. Traditionally, runners take part in costumes, with prizes for the best outfits, and all the usual essentials—timing, refreshments, T-shirts for the first 800 entries. Earlier at 4pm, kids can join their own Sant Silvestre, making it a family-friendly way to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
On the cultural side, Magaluf came alive with the Festival of Expanded Literature (FLEM) over tyhe weekend at the Innside Calvià Beach hotel, organised by Rata Corner and INNSiDE by Meliá. British novelist Helen Fielding, creator of Bridget Jones, appeared on Saturday 4 October for an interview with Juliana Canet and a book signing. London-born Mallorcan artist Ona Mafalda previewed songs from her forthcoming album, joined by acclaimed authors including John Boyne, Pedro Mairal, Dolores Reyes and Megan Maxwell.
